Property Maintenance and Grounds Keeping

We’re searching for a person skilled in grounds keeping and property maintenance to add to our team. In this position, it will be your responsibility to help us with the maintenance of the various properties’ outdoor spaces in our portfolio. You might be tasked with working at a site in Ottawa one day and at our other site in Gatineau the next. You will need to complete a variety of tasks to ensure that the properties and outdoor spaces we own are well taken care of. Your duties will include mowing the lawn, pulling up weeds, clearing away plant debris and leaves, shovelling snow on stairs and using snowblower to clear sidewalks and entrances, inspecting roof(s) and cleaning/changing filters of rooftop HVAC units. There may be additional duties in the future.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain previously-landscaped places
- Mow lawns, pull weeds, clear away plant debris and leaves
- Empty garbage cans in parking lot(s)
- Sweeping sidewalks daily
- Operate a variety of hand tools and lawn care equipment
- Remove snow and plant debris when they accumulate
- Inspecting roof(s) for debris and possible water infiltration
- Maintain rooftop HVAC units (2 cleanings per year, replacement of belts and filters every three months)
- Acting as liaison between tenants and management, managing keys for tenants

**Requirements**:

- High school education or equivalent
- Ability to use hand tools and lawn care equipment
- Physical ability to remain standing for most of an 8-hour shift
- Valid driver’s license and your own vehicle
- Professional appearance and demeanour
- Specialized experience with plumbing, electricity, or HVAC maintenance (a plus)

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift

Work Location: One location
