Our Barrie team is looking to add a New Business Writer. The New Business Writer, reporting to the Personal Lines Manager, will have a unique opportunity to connect with the community to generate new business opportunities and provide comprehensive support for Home & Auto Insurance. **What you’ll do**: - Provide excellent customer service to leads providing them with quotes for home and auto insurance. - Use creativity and professionalism to generate new leads through a variety of prospecting techniques - Partner with internal teammates to ensure seamless customer experience - Respond to insurance company inquiries on the New Business written - Work within regulatory and internal guidelines in respect to Insurance sales - Be active in the Insurance community, and be aware of any changes or trends - Work in a team environment, providing support to other team members - Represent Ives Insurance at brokerage, community and insurance company functions **Who you are**: - You have a valid RIBO license, or are working at obtaining one - You have strong communication skills - A problem solver, who loves a good challenge - An organizing master, who is great with time management - Passionate about supporting customers - Ability to work in a fast paced environment with high level of accuracy - Professional demeanor and appearance - Ability to work independently and in a team setting - Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and BMS **Insurance Store is an equal opportunity employer.
