Team Lead

Pacific Northwest Transportation Services (PNWTS) is the proud supplier of carbon-neutral transportation services for the cruise industry in Victoria, British Columbia. As the exclusive supplier of buses on behalf of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA), PNWTS provides motor coaches and double-decker buses for shore excursion tours and shuttle connections for cruise lines and is the sole provider of dispatch services on the Terminal. We are looking for an energetic and positive individual in our Gray Line/Sightseeing Victoria division during the season until September.

**Wage**:$25.00/hr plus commission

**Job Types**: Full-time seasonal

As one of our team of Sightseeing Leads you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our sightseeing tours. This role oversees the daily activities of the Customer Services Agents and ensures an exceptional experience for our customers.

At Gray Line/Sightseeing Victoria, we place an emphasis on teamwork, fun and promote outgoing, friendly personalities. It is the role of the Team Lead to support the Sightseeing Manager in ensuring all aspects of sales and administration are running smoothly and revenue targets are being met and exceeded.

**Your Work Will Include**:

- Supervising and leading team of Customer Service Agents daily, supporting the team during peak periods
- Providing opening and closing duties for the agents, setting them up for success on a daily basis
- Overseeing operation of loading and departing of scheduled services to ensure high level of service, especially during peak times throughout the day
- Ensuring adherence to operating procedures and customer service standards
- Providing ongoing support and training to maximize sales revenue and customer service
- Enhancing team members' knowledge of routes, landmarks, and customer service best practices.
- Maintaining a high standard of customer service, ensuring passengers have a positive and memorable experience
- Addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, both in person and via correspondence
- Enforcing safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of passengers and staff
- Assisting in the planning and execution of special events or promotions, ensuring we are looking ahead for events or construction that may impact our routes
- Reviewing 7 days in advance, looking for any potential revenue opportunities, issues that may arise or route changes that need to be made
- Performing other administrative duties upon request by manager

**What We Will Like About You**:

- 2-year plus experience in tourism related role
- Experience training, supervising, and managing others is an asset
- Class 5 Drivers License is an asset
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to work alone at an outdoor kiosk
- Available to work a variety of shifts, with adaptable scheduling Demonstrates excellent communication, organizational, and observational skills, and work effectively in a team environment
