**Casual Cook (evenings, weekends, days), Rosedale Hospice**

**Casual, Part Time**
- Would you like to prepare comforting, home-made meals for patients and their families?_
- Are you interested in helping to create a home-like environment where the little things make all the difference to patients and families in their last days?_
- Do you want to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of employees and volunteers?_

**Position Summary**:
The **Casual Cook**plays an important role in the house:

- Reports to the House Manager
- Provides “home-cooking” for patients and their loved ones
- Prepares meals and baking
- Cleans and monitors inventory to ensure a food safe environment
- Assists other staff and volunteers as necessary

**Working Conditions**
- Availability for casual shifts (day, evenings, weekends), as required.
- Shift length is 4- 8 hours
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working a health care setting preferred
- Ability to work in a patient and family-centered environment putting the needs of the client first
- Willingness to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
