New Westminster, Canada Fraser River Paint & Body Full time

We’re looking for a highly skilled **Commercial Truck Autobody Technician** who can operate at the highest level of independence and performance. This is not an entry-level or apprentice position. We are offering **top-of-industry wages ($55-$60/hour)** because we need someone who can handle **every aspect of commercial autobody repair** — from frame straightening and welding to panel replacement and bodywork — **without supervision**.

Please note: This is a full-time, hourly position - not flat rate. You are paid for every hour you work, no guessing, no games.

While a Red Seal certification is not required, **hands-on, real-world experience in commercial vehicle repair is essential**. If you’ve spent years in the shop and can confidently take on any job thrown your way, we want to hear from you.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform comprehensive autobody repairs on commercial vehicles (trucks, fleet vehicles, utility bodies, etc.)
- Accurately assess damage and independently develop a repair strategy
- Complete all aspects of structural and cosmetic repair including:

- Frame straightening and alignment
- Welding (MIG, TIG, steel and aluminum)
- Panel replacement and dent repair
- Body filler, sanding, and priming prep
- Coordinate with paint and refinishing teams as needed
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and repair quality standards
- Keep work area clean, organized, and efficient

**Requirements**:

- Minimum **6 years of hands-on experience** in commercial autobody and collision repair
- Proven ability to handle complete repairs **independently**, from teardown to final prep
- Proficient in using all standard autobody tools and equipment
- Strong understanding of vehicle construction, body/frame measurement, and repair procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex repair challenges
- Must have your **own tools**:

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in craftsmanship

**What We Offer**
- **Top-tier pay: $55-$60/hour** - among the highest in the industry
- **Hourly wages only** - **no flat rate**:

- **Bonus potential after 3 months**:

- Full benefits package
- Stable, full-time work in a busy, respected commercial autobody shop
- A professional and supportive team that values skill and independence
- Opportunities for future growth, leadership roles, and specialized training

**This is a role for someone who takes full ownership of their work, doesn’t cut corners, and doesn’t need to be told what to do.** If you're ready to be paid what you're worth and want to work in a shop that values excellence over speed, we want to talk.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Benefits**:

- Dental care
- Extended health care
- On-site parking

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
