Kenneth E Spencer Memorial Home is currently looking for a **Full-Time Permanent LPN Rehabilitation Assistant** to join our 200-bed Long-Term Residential Care Facility
**Position Summary**
The LPN Rehabilitation Assistant collaborates with registered nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other health professionals to support residents in maintaining and improving functional independence. This role combines licensed practical nursing responsibilities with rehabilitation support and requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and a passion for helping residents achieve their goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide licensed nursing care within the scope of professional practice, including monitoring, documentation and communication of resident status.
- Assist with rehabilitation initiatives to enhance functional outcomes (mobility, ADLs, therapeutic exercises) under the guidance of therapy professionals.
- Support implementation of individualized care plans and therapeutic programs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient/family education as required.
- Administer medications and perform selected clinical skills as authorized within LPN scope of practice as required.
- Collect and maintain accurate resident records in accordance with privacy/confidentiality standards.
- Maintain equipment and rehabilitation resources; assist with ordering/supply management.
- Promote resident safety, comfort and dignity at all times.
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
**Qualifications**
**Mandatory**
- Current active registration with the Association of Licensed Practical Nurses of New Brunswick (ANBLPN) in good standing.
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
- Additional certificate in Rehabilitation Program or related course.
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts including days and may include occasional evenings/weekends.
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Good previous work and attendance record
**Assets / Preferred**
- Experience in rehabilitation, long-term care, or community health settings.
- Familiarity with therapeutic exercise programs, assistive devices, or adaptive techniques.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, electronic health record systems).
**Working Conditions**
- Clinical environment with direct contact with residents requiring support for physical, cognitive or functional needs.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to infection prevention standards.
- Frequent collaboration with nursing and therapy teams.

Pay: $34.04-$36.19 per hour
