**Job Summary**:
The Housing Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s relationships with social service agencies, managing tenant support processes, and ensuring effective coordination between external partners and internal operations to support successful tenancies. Reporting to the COO and working closely with the Facilities Manager, this role ensures that housing programs run efficiently, tenancy issues are addressed promptly, and partner agencies are held accountable to service standards.

The Housing Manager supervises the Housing Liaison team and acts as a key problem solver and relationship manager in support of tenant success, agency collaboration, and housing stability.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Agency Relationship Management**
- Manage day-to-day relationships with community agencies under contract to support tenants.
- Ensure agency compliance with lease and service agreements.
- Act as the primary contact for agency-related tenancy coordination and issue resolution.

**Team Leadership & Support**
- Supervise and mentor Housing Liaisons, ensuring they are equipped to support residents and agency coordination.
- Provide direction and coaching on resolving tenant concerns, lease compliance, and partner engagement.

**Tenancy Support & Advocacy**
- Oversee tenant advocacy processes, including mediation between tenants, agencies, and property management.
- Support development of tenant payment plans, damage recovery processes, and complaint resolution.

**Contract Oversight & Coordination**
- Support negotiation, renewal, and monitoring of agency lease agreements.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure proper documentation and risk management.
- Monitor agency performance and escalate issues as needed.

**Collaboration with Facilities & Property Management**
- Work closely with Manager, Facilities to align agency responsibilities with building operations.
- Ensure clear communication channels between agencies and property operations teams.
- Contribute to integrated solutions for tenant well-being and property care.

**Program Evaluation & Reporting**
- Monitor housing program effectiveness through data collection and feedback.
- Provide regular reports on tenancy challenges, agency engagement, and service delivery outcomes.
- Recommend improvements to housing processes and partnerships.

**Policy & Procedure Implementation**
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies related to tenant support, agency collaboration, and housing operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant housing legislation and organizational standards.

**Qualifications**

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in social work, community development, human services, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

**Experience**:

- 3-5 years of experience in housing, social services, or non-profit operations.
- Experience supervising staff and working collaboratively with community agencies.
- Strong understanding of tenancy issues, housing agreements, and client advocacy.

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain accountability in partnerships.
- Knowledge of housing models and tenant support best practices.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with relevant housing legislation and policy frameworks.

**Other Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
