The position of Medical Writer at Anderson DDB is a unique opportunity to combine knowledge, scientific rigour, and creativity into meaningful stories that have the potential to impact the lives of patients living with disease, as well as the caregivers and healthcare providers dedicated to improving their quality of life. A keen understanding of disease processes and the ability to identify unmet needs allows us to develop key messages and weave together compelling narratives that resonate with patients and physicians alike.

As Medical Writer, you will have an opportunity to research and write educational and promotional materials for products at different stages of their life-cycle. For drugs in early phases, you will help analyze the landscape and contribute to shaping initial interactions with the medical community. With more developed treatments, you will integrate emerging data and learnings from an evolving field into new approaches to disease management.

Hematologic cancers, ulcerative colitis, and sickle cell disease are some of the accounts that you will be able to gain expertise on. Although you may choose to work remotely, you won’t be working in isolation—we have a cohesive and dynamic team of medical writers and editors for support, along with a creative team of designers and artists to help bring our scientific and medical communications to life.

**Responsibilities**:

- Distill scientific content into easily digestible copy for healthcare professionals or consumers
- Write print and digital assets that are scientifically accurate and comply with local advertising regulations
- Collaborate with clients, account teams, and art directors to develop compelling copy that meets marketing and creative strategies for assigned brands
- Participate in market and background research
- Organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks under established deadlines

Qualifications:

- MSc preferred; PhD an asset
- 2-3 years of medical writing experience, preferably within an agency setting
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Critical thinker who understands data and can work independently with mínimal supervision
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
