As a vital member of the iFinance Canada Finance Team, the Accounting Technician will be responsible for accuracy and completeness of the financial data, monitoring for efficiencies and inefficiencies, data quality and timely recording of financial transactions which are all key factors contributing to the company’s financial success. **What will you do?**
- **_Accounts Payable_**: Managing vendor invoices, processing payments to vendors, employee expense reimbursements and recording monthly credit card transactions
- **_Accounts Receivable_**: Keeping a close eye on service provider refunds and following up promptly ensuring outstanding refund amounts are collected in a timely manner
- **_Client Account Adjustments_**: Work closely with other departments regarding client loan account adjustments in a timely manner
- **_Bank Reconciliation_**: Participate in the daily bank reconciliation for several bank accounts and maintaining and updating financial records in an organized manner
- **_Administrate Accounting Work_**: Responsible for all protection-plan claim inquiries
- **_Audit Preparation_**: Support Year-End and quarterly securitization audits by providing necessary documents and explanations
- **Ad hoc**: Work on special projects based on departmental and company/business needs including new accounting software system implementation, upgrades and other ad-hoc requests

**What will you need to succeed?**
- 3+ years of related experience in Accounting
- College diploma in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- Attention to detail with an eye for critical thinking
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and/or experience in the financial industry is an asset

**Schedule**
- Monday to Friday (Hybrid - 3 days on-site)
