**Job Summary**

The Commercial Manager for our Drilling Services team will direct the activities of the Canadian Commercial team. This role brings together the important functional responsibilities which support the overall success of Canada Drilling Services.

**Key Position Responsibilities**:
**Commercial**
- Lead, coordinate and communicate directly with Division Managers across Canada on all Commercial activities. Work will include portfolio expansion and contraction (as necessary).- Review and analysis of tender documents and customer inquiries.- In concert with Operations staff, prepare customer contract proposals / bid sheets / tender submissions. Proposals must adhere to company policy and be approved through the Salesforce bid approval process prior to submission to customer.- Ensure all bid assumptions are fully documented and key contractual terms are addressed in bid pricing.- Maintain bidding activity and approvals in Company global database (Salesforce).- Coordinate and syndicate with regional DMs, regular contract meetings with customers, including preparation of presentations, performance reviews and pricing reviews.**Operational**
- Develops the short to medium strategy for growing the DS business in Canada.- Leads and directs the activities and portfolio management of the Canadian Commercial team.- Ensure that operations personnel are familiar with key contractual terms.- Make regular, periodic appraisal of performance for all Commercial Team members.- Measure variances from bid performance and take necessary corrective action.- Regularly visit field operations to ensure that contracts are being efficiently executed to the customer’s satisfaction.- Organize and lead (with operations staff) a pre-job meeting and a post-job close out.- Participates as a Sr. leader in Canada in all critical risk reviews. Supports implementation of follow-up actions.**Cross Functional Duties**
- Works closely with Legal team on governance, contracts and contract modifications.- Works closely with Canadian HR team to ensure appropriate level of workforce planning is occurring which will lead to future growth and/or contraction across the region.- Works closely with audit functions internally and externally to ensure compliance in Canada.**Perks, Benefits and Compensation**
