Continuous Instructor, Denturist Technology Program

The Denturist Technology program offers a challenging opportunity for those individuals interested in providing direct patient care in oral health services. The program is designed to provide students with the theoretical, technical, and clinical experiences required to assess, diagnose, design, fabricate and insert both complete and partial removable dentures.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in a classroom, laboratory and clinical setting
- Facilitate the learning process by utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials
- Manage instructional delivery and set the tone and climate for a safe and effective learning environment
- Provide patient treatment and appointment management as required
- Evaluate the learning process
- Provide early and on-going coaching and tutoring for students to maximize student success and retention
- Respond to student and/or patient issues
- Utilize appropriate educational technology for presentations, communications and program promotions
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students, patients and colleagues
- Actively participate in the strategies of NAIT’s Academic Model as identified by the institute
- Utilize regular student feedback to identify and implement instructional improvement
- Improve the quality of instruction through professional development activities
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:
- A diploma in Denturist Technology from a recognized post-secondary institute
- Three years or more of recent relevant experience
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Denturists
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
**Remuneration**: Will commensurate with education and experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Instructor salary grid $65,218.00 - $113,452.00 annually. However, starting salary for new hires averages between $78,998.00 - $85,889.00 annually based on education and experience with room for negotiations. (Classification - Instructor).
- This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) Collective Agreement_
