We are currently looking for a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to work as a Restorative Care Aide for a Long Term Care client in
** London, **Ontario. Working under the direct or indirect supervision of the Physiotherapist, our restorative care aides will work in close contact with residents to help them implement treatment programs and achieve the goals set out for them.

**Starting: ASAP - 37.5 Hours per week)**

**Job Duties**:

- Assist with conducting group exercises for residents, and/or lead one-one-on exercises with the assigned resident as directed by the Physiotherapist.
- Encourage residents to reach the goals of their planned treatment programs if appropriate.
- Document treatments and residents' progress after each therapy session per the Physiotherapist’s instructions.
- Assist residents with walking, sitting and safe transferring.
- Monitor any changes to a resident’s health status and report to the Physiotherapist or supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate and Certificate in Restorative Care from a recognized educational institution OR Degree in Kinesiology and experience in Restorative Care OR Diploma in Recreation/Activation with a Certificate in Restorative Care from a recognized educational institution
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to communicate well with the elderly, supervisors and teammates.
- Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home would be a definite asset.
- A current police check for the Vulnerable Sector is required.
- Valid TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray is required.
