Westport Manufacturing is seeking a Sewing Workroom Supervisor that will be Overseeing and Sewing products made of various fabrics and materials. Following specifications as provided; preparing and operating sewing machines and equipment; maintaining quality standards and equipment.

**Duties**:

- Determines sewing needs by following specifications and studying work orders.
- Experienced in operating industrial sewing machines.
- Maintains quality specifications by detecting and correcting defects.
- Oversees the hiring and training of new staff.
- Reports directly to VP of Operations.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs.
- Maintains stock inventory by checking supplier available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Prepares production reports by recording data.
- Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills/Qualifications:
Manufacturing Methods and Procedures

3+ Years Industrial Sewing Manufacturing Experience

Attention to Detail

Functional and Technical Skills

Verbal Communication, Coordination, Inventory Control, and Planning Skills.

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
