Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is a K-12 Online School providing fully accredited Christian education to students in BC. At HCOS, we are focused on growing in academics as we grow in relationship with Jesus.
Within the Inclusive Education division, our goal is to provide supportive and flexible Christ-centred programming for students with diverse needs learning from home and in the community.
Heritage Christian Online School has a need for a part-time self-employed independent contractor to support one student in **Port Coquitlam,** **BC**, **for 25 hours/week. **Specific training for working with students with diverse abilities, such as an Education Assistant certificate (or equivalent), is required.
- **Familiar/comfortable with personal care and feeding (Training can absolutely be provided by the parent, but it needs to be something that they are comfortable with.)**:
- **Familiar/comfortable with supporting mobility needs.**:
- **Willing and able to drive a wheelchair van or comfortable with a student on public transit, as well as the possibility of using the handi-dart.**:
- **Excited about the possibility of being out of the house daily and in the community multiple times a week.**:
- **Enjoy going to parks, malls & bowling**:
- **Class 5 driver's license**
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $27.58-$32.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
Work Location: In person
