**Overview**:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Transmission Business Unit, Alberta Ethane Gathering System (AEGS) is currently seeking a Pipeline Operator. Reporting to the Foreman and located in the Sherwood Park office and surrounding area, the Pipeline Operator will perform a variety of pipeline operational and maintenance duties.

Pembina's Transmission Business Unit includes a strategically positioned network of pipelines and related infrastructure. This network facilitates the transportation of Ethane (C2) across significant areas of Alberta. Pembina ranks among Canada's largest operators of pipelines, carrying various commodities. These integrated assets enable us to offer long-term, dedicated transportation services to our customers.

**Responsibilities may include but not limited to**:

- Complete assignments safely, efficiently and in an environmentally conscious manner by observing company and industry safety practices;
- Be responsible for maintaining daily pipeline operations including measurement concepts, product quality, facility inspections, pipeline integrity and pigging activities;
- Perform and assist with pipeline maintenance activities;
- Respond to pipeline system upsets, determine cause and resolve;
- Organize and manage contractors as required, oversee routine and non-routine maintenance activities;
- Respond and reporting for Click before you dig, Areal patrols and Crossing agreements;
- Consult with public and other related industry companies;
- Maintain pump stations, block valve sites and company vehicle in clean orderly condition;
- Occasionally expected to work out of town on project work and adapt to schedule changes easily;
- Comfortable with an on-call rotation associated with the responsibilities;
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace; and
- Other duties as requested.

**Qualifications**:

- A High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum of 10+ years of relatable experience;
- Experience in ground disturbance and underground facility locating would be considered an asset;
- Ability to read and interpret pipeline related construction drawings, schematics and alignment drawings;
- Collaborative, excellent organizational and detailed capabilities;
- Agility in pivoting from competing priorities;
- Flexibility nature in providing on going demands;
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite;
- Strong capabilities in written and verbal communication skills;
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License; and
- Knowledge of SAP would be considered an asset.

**This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.**
