**MAIN FUNCTION**: Provides graphic design and marketing support for the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce. Under the direction of the Director of Policy and Government Relations, this role supports the success of the Chamber’s marketing and communications goals, organizational initiatives and strategic objectives.

**DUTIES**:

- Develop social media content and strategies to increase engagement and grow the Chamber’s following.
- Support the development of strategic marketing and communication plans.
- Provide graphic design services.
- Draft correspondence and materials in response to internal and external inquiries.
- Maintain website and online content.
- Ensure consistent branding across all marketing and communications.
- Assist with preparing other communications.
- Assist with planning, logistics and attendance at events.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION AND TRAINING**:

- College diploma, university degree, or equivalent work experience, in graphic design. RGD certification required.
- Additional education initiatives to update and expand competencies.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum of one year of related experience.
- Experience within a not-for-profit and/or Board of Directors is a definite asset.

**KNOWLEDGE OF**:

- Demonstrate an understanding of design principles and the execution of high-level marketing.
- Knowledge of professional design and marketing methods.
- Ability to story-tell through design, using analysis of data.

**ABILITIES TO**:

- Demonstrate organization, time management, adaptability and judgment.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with members, staff, political representatives, business/community leaders, outside groups and agencies.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
- Present complex information in a simple manner.
- Develop content and graphics creatively, efficiently and with mínimal error.

**PERSONAL SUITABILITY**:
Mental and physical fitness to perform essential job functions.

**LANGUAGE**:
Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing.

French/other language verbal and written skills are an asset, but not a requirement.

**COMPENSATION**:
$19/hour

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
