A1 Millwood is a leading millwork company specializing in high-quality custom cabinetry. We take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and design to our clients. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker/Installer to join our team.
- Construct custom cabinets according to design specifications and blueprints.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and design plans.
- Use a variety of woodworking tools, such as saws, routers, and sanders, to shape and assemble cabinets.
- Ensure precision in cutting, fitting, and finishing of cabinet components.
- Install cabinetry in commercial and residential settings.
- Perform quality control checks to meet our standards of excellence.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure project timelines are met.
- Problem-solve and make adjustments to ensure the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the final product.

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role.
- Strong woodworking skills and knowledge of woodworking tools and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Creativity and the ability to bring design concepts to life.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a cabinet making environment.

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Completion of a vocational training program or apprenticeship in cabinet making is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of successful projects.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON K2E 6T7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
