Brasfield Builders is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. Creating exceptional mixed-use residential and multi-family communities, we strive to form strong relationships and create reliable, long lasting solutions to any build.
- **Must have completed at least one mid-rise wood frame multifamily residential project in the Lower Mainland. **_

**Duties**:

- Alongside the Project Manager, oversee the overall project, work with Site Superintendent and report to the Directors of Operations and Construction.
- Manage project budget and ongoing costs, mitigate cost overruns.
- Project schedule control to ensure adherence to master schedule.
- Manage communication as directed by Project Manager between consultants to and from site team.
- If required, communicate to Trades if schedules and site enforcement metrics are not being met.
- Assist with project tendering and procurement.
- Regular review of drawings throughout all construction phases.
- Manage RFI and shop drawing review process - Ensure all changes are within budget and schedule, including proposing alternate solutions for approval.
- Provide value engineering and construction assistance up to the issuance of BP.
- Ensure all construction processes and safety practices are implemented and enforced on site.
- Attend, and as required lead consultants meeting during construction phase.

Required Skills and Abilities:

- Completion of a building technology/construction management/project management education program (e.g.. Architecture, Engineering)
- Experience: minimum 2 years of construction experience, particularly in mid-rise, multi-family projects.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Great people skills, able to relate well to others and state your case, able to collaborate in a team environment.
- Able to multitask and organize a significant workload, prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain efficiency.
- Competent computer skills to review and produce project documents and communicate effectively in an online real time environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, etc.
- Investigative skills and the ability to sum up the information gathered.
- Problem solving skills.
- Access to your own vehicle and the ability to travel throughout the lower mainland as needed.
- A thorough understanding of the specific needs, codes and regulations pertaining to building within the Lower Mainland.
- Strong local contacts for qualified sub-contractors and trades.
- Ability to visualize the entire project, anticipate constructability issues, and embed solutions in the construction plans and schedules.
