**KEY FUNCTION**:
Provide clinical assessment, treatment and educational services to clients consistent with the overall goals and objectives of the prograM/Facility. The incumbent will contribute to the ongoing development of structure, policy and capacity within the Violence Intervention and Prevention Program (VIPP) and VOICES for Women: Sudbury Sexual Assault Centre to meet the goals of the clients receiving services.

**REPORTING**:
Under the general direction of the Clinical Manager, NEO Navigation, Violence Intervention & Prevention Program, VOICES for Women.

**DUTIES**:

- Provide client-centred clinical assessment services to clients of the VIPP and VOICES for Women and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide a range of treatment services (i.e. workshops, group work, individual counseling, court support and advocacy) to clients as required; ensure methods of treatment and standards of practice are consistent with the Code of Ethics of the profession and standards of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
- Work as a member of inter-professional/multi-disciplinary teams and in collaboration with agencies/ services in the community, and family members, wherever appropriate for the purpose of consolidating and coordinating client treatment.
- Maintain clinical records of treatment in ensuring compliance with professional standards of practice.
- Maintain accurate statistical data as required and participate in survey/research projects.
- Assume responsibility for own continuing professional development and engage in clinical skills training activities.
- Participate in case conferences and peer review for effective interdisciplinary service collaboration.
- Participate in the review of policies and procedures, information management practices, ethics, and ongoing program development and evaluation.
- Provide specialized skills and competencies and take leadership in promoting these within the VIPP and VOICES for Women.
- Develop and promote social work services and assist in the development of program descriptions and eligibility criteria.
- Provide educational programs and services to the public and other agencies/organizations, professionals, family members and consumers on issues related to violence against women, and the understanding, management and treatment of sexual assault.
- Provide appropriate individual and systemic advocacy to address individual and systemic discrimination.
- Keep informed of updates to the Policies and Procedures of the VIPP, VOICES for Women and HSN.
- Maintain knowledge of the legislation related to the provision of clinical sexual assault services, and those provisions in the legislation which affect the mandate.
- Keep manager informed of potential risk issues as they arise during the delivery of services, and assist in the development of appropriate proactive responses to minimize risks.
- Contribute to the development of research and evaluation strategies for the prograM/Facility and carry out approved research.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement and the accreditation process for VIPP, VOICES for Women and HSN.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of a community capacity to address the needs of the identified client, consistent with the established goals and mandate of both VIPP and HSN.
- Determine and align improvement projects with HSN’s Strategic Plan; monitor and adjust to achieve goal outcomes.
- Evaluate patient care and satisfaction on an ongoing basis and formulate solutions for improvement.
- Participate in education and training specific to current, relevant federal and provincial health and safety legislation, standards and guidelines.
- Educate and promote health, safety and wellness in the work place.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION AND TRAINING**:

- Minimum of a four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college/university.
- Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
- Current Certification in Trauma Informed Counselling.
- Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the field of Violence against Women.

**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES**:

- Comprehensive knowledge of Violence against Women (Adult and Youth), and related psychosocial, physical and function
