**REPORT TO**: Environmental Services Manager

**ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT**: Villagia in the Glebe

**Personal Requirements**:

- Excellent Physical Health - must be able to lift heavy items at times
- Keen interest in working with seniors (and seniors with physical limitations and/or dementia)
- Comfort in working in a Retirement Residence setting
- Have knowledge with, Minor Electrical, Plumbing, Painting and repairs.
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Ability to support other departments if needed.
- The incumbent performs routine maintenance and minor repairs for the Community and surrounding grounds.
**Job Duties**:

- Duties include but are not limited to:

- Painting and patching of a variety of surfaces throughout the community as needed.
- General cleaning of swimming pool and maintaining proper levels (will provide training)
- Garbage Removal
- Window cleaning
- Move furniture as assigned
- Other assigned work from Maintenance Manager or Manager on Duty.
- Perform emergency maintenance repair duties such as plumbing (blocked toilets, leaks etc.).
- Sign off on all work orders, maintenance schedules and logs
- Adhere to all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, legislation and company policies and procedures
- Maintain, the highest standards of professionalism by following the company dress code and/or wearing the company uniform
- Participate in all Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Infection Control
- Attend all staff meetings and mandatory training.
**Performance Requirements**:

- Follows the principles of “good customer service” and ensures that these values are demonstrated in day to day practices.
- Interact effectively with team members, residents and families as well as external service providers.
- Able to follow instruction and work under mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrate organizational and time management skills

Schedule:
