We are looking for a detail oriented, personable individual to assist in monitoring and maintaining the hotel’s facilities and equipment to ensure all is in working order and presentable for our guests at our Travelodge East location.

$20.54 per hour to start / $23.34 per hour at 3 months of employment.

Medical benefits provided at 6 months of employment.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the property
- Assists in the implementation of all tasks to be completed on a regular basis
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Assists in the maintenance and upgrades of electrical systems, mechanical systems, energy management systems, fire safety systems, grounds, parking, swimming pool, etc.
- Assists in conducting fire alarm testing weekly and drills monthly
- Maintenance inside/outside hotel to keep appearance at its best
- Ensures compliance with occupational Health and Safety procedures

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:

- Must be available to work weekends
- Must be able to communicate excellently (speak, read, write and understand) in English and all primary language(s) in the work place
- Experience as an assistant maintenance person
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must have Training or experience in the areas of carpentry, light plumbing work, light electrical work, refurbishing and cleaning, painting, drywall repair, appliance diagnosis, boilers and grounds maintenance
- Ability to deal with all levels of management as well as guests in a professional manner
