Leather clothing brand is looking for a highly skilled **Alterationist or Tailor or Seamstress **for basic and advanced types of alterations on men’s and women’s leather garments and accessories. It is our vision to provide an engaging workplace focused on teamwork, growth, and respect.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
- 8 hour shift 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability during peak seasons

**Salary**: Starting $20.00 negotiable based on experience
- Hourly salary commensurate with experience. 90-day probation period.

Ability to commute:

- Vaughan, Ontario: reliably commute before starting work (required)

Must have 5 to 10+ years experience and be able to speak, read, and write English competently.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- 3-5 year knowledge and expertise in tailoring and alterations of luxury leather garments including jackets, skirt, and pants an asset.
- Ability to use and maintain a variety of industrial sewing machines with 3 or more years of experience.

**Tasks**
- Alter leather garments as required.
- Take in
- Repair to leather garments and accessories according to customer specifications
- Operate sewing machines or sew by hand.
- Repair garments and accessories as required.
- Make sure all items worked on are the best quality.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Previous experience in alterations
- Thorough knowledge of basic machines used in alterations
- Proficient in sewing and making garments
- Keen sense of color perception and fabric types
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate with store staff.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Casual dress with clean appearance and manner
