Shipper and Receiver

**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Determine the appropriate method of shipment for outgoing goods.
- Schedule transportation and distribution of goods in a timely and efficient manner.
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against invoices, bills of lading, or other documentation.
- Maintain internal record-keeping systems for inventory and shipping/receiving logs.
- Record any shortages and reject or report damaged goods as necessary.
- Route goods to appropriate storage areas and maintain organized inventory.
- Pack and label goods to be shipped, ensuring packaging standards are met.
- Unpack and sort incoming goods.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of shipments to ensure proper handling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or cranes to move goods safely within the facility.
- Supervise material handlers and helpers involved in shipping and receiving activities.
- Conduct regular inspections and report any maintenance needs of handling equipment.

**Qualifications**
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving role preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory systems and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment (certification is an asset).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise support staff is an asset.
- Committed to health and safety regulations and best practices.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 44 per week
