Associate Veterinarian

Oakpark Pet Hospital, a leading veterinary care facility located in the heart of Oakville, Ontario, is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team We are seeking a passionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian committed to providing exceptional veterinary care and building strong relationships with both clients and patients.

Job Responsibilities
- Build rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to and empathizing with their concerns.
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
- Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
- Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up to date through established protocols.
- Stay current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
- Present a positive image of the hospital to the professional community and to the public.
- Work in a communicative and collaborative fashion that focuses on team success.

Skills and Basic Qualifications
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
- Licensure in good standing to practice in Ontario.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
- Ideally two years of experience but open to new graduate hires.
- Soft tissue surgical skillset essential, orthopedic surgery experience considered an asset.
