This full-time opportunity is an excellent entry-level position in the veterinary industry We have ACAs that loved the industry so much they have gone on to become VeterinariansRole:Caring for our patients; feeding, walking and offering a gentle voice of assurance, assisting with anesthesia recovery, x-rays, prescription refills, processing bloodwork and taking TPRsEnsure animal housing or enclosure is clean, sanitary and comfortable Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parentsExcellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment with detailed communicationGeneral housekeeping duties, including but not limited to restocking, cleaningWillingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical procedures and neurology, neurology-specific diseases, testing, handling and care of petsCompassionate and nurturing attitude towards pets and pet parents alikeAbility to remain calm in stressful situations and maintain a high quality of care in a busy environmentAbility to adapt in changing situationsWorking with a team focus, assisting the veterinary staff with various procedures, tasks and treatmentsOur ACAs have the opportunity to work with and learn from our RVTs and ACAs, as well as our board-certified Veterinary Specialists.
