**The Opportunity**

Choice.Passion.Life. Support Services INC is currently hiring for a Team Lead that provides leadership and oversight to residential support homes.

Providing overall care and support, the Team Lead will nurture and develop relationships with the individuals and internal and external support networks.

Overseeing effective individual support and ensuring it aligns with the organizational values, goals, and support delivery standards to ensure support needs are consistently met.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Supervisory duties_: Possess a demonstrated ability to train and supervise others effectively. Develop employees by managing performance, ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
- Organizational duties_: Adhere to the Vulnerable Person’s Act, Residential Care Licensing standards, Choice.Passion.Life. Support Services INC. Policy and Procedures, and all other pertinent legislation. Responsible for ensuring the delivery of appropriate and effective programming and services, including assessments and ongoing implementation of person centered plans.
- Administrative duties:_ Maintain records and documentation ensuring confidentiality, budget development and management, participate in meetings, and support policy and procedure development.

- Minimum 3 years experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Have been consistently employed for a minimum of one year or have prior supervisory experience in this field
- Valid certification in First aid and CPR
- Clear criminal record check, adult abuse registry check and child abuse registry check (if applicable) and/or vulnerable Sector search
- Minimum Grade 12 education, preferably post-secondary, nurse, social worker, human services, developmental support worker certificate, or a combination of related education/experience
- Possess a working knowledge of disability sector, Mental Health and/or Child and family services
- Strong knowledge and demonstration of the guidelines of the Protection of Persons in Care Act
- Training in crisis prevention training
- Willingness to continue training and education by attending organization and regional courses/workshops
- Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle with liability insurance.
- Above average communication skills (both written, oral, and verbal) organizational skills, the ability to work effectively within a team environment, sound decision making abilities and the capacity to work with mínimal supervision.

- Ability to foster a team approach within the home
- Participate and lead training for support workers. Identify needs and ensure that training is complete and support worker are competent in skills learned and trained.
