Brightside Learning provides Student Success Coaching to complex learners from grades one through university, who are affected by ADHD and executive functioning difficulties. We teach students how to learn by providing them with tools & opportunities to help them succeed academically and personally, and ultimately reach their full potential.

Student Success Tutors will be responsible for working directly with and assisting our Student Success Specialist to conduct intake and coaching sessions, and provide follow-up and accountability sessions to students. They will be responsible for implementing strategies for organization, planning, time management, study skills, active reading comprehension and written expression, as well as for providing ongoing communication regarding student progress.**Qualifications & Knowledge**
- Currently enrolled in or holds a **Bachelor of Education **degree (related fields may be considered)
- Minimum of 3+ years experience working with diverse learners
- Extremely organized, pays attention to and notices detail
- Ability to identify needs, manage competing tasks and priorities
- Excellent ability to explain concepts in varying ways (people just seem to understand things when you explain it to them)
- Ability to connect with and build impactful relationships with students
- An understanding of how the school system works, including typical practices regarding teaching methods, homework, grading systems and grade-level expectations
- Proven ability in liaising with parents
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in English, working knowledge of French
- Excellent ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology**Compensation**: Student Success Tutors are paid interns who join our team as independent contractors and are compensated at a rate of $28.00 per hour.**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
