Cool Aid has been operating since 1968. We have close to 400 employees, sixteen supportive/affordable/assisted living housing sites, three shelters, downtown health and dental clinics, as well as a strong complement of support and outreach services.
The Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing maintenance related to various Cool Aid buildings, suites, grounds, and equipment. This includes ensuring that properties are properly maintained and performing routine inspections. The Facilities Maintenance Worker's duties include:
- Repairing and maintaining drywall, minor electrical systems, minor plumbing systems, painting, landscaping and pressure washing.
- Completing and maintaining all society programs as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator.
- Transporting equipment, furniture and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and carts.
- Maintaining adequate cleaning supplies and equipment and keeping all items in good repair.
- Correctly and safely use all supplied power tools and equipment. WHMIS knowledge and/or certification.

**Qualifications**
- Equivalent to Grade 12 and some related vocational training.
- One (1) to three (3) years of related work experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with others.
**Requirements**:
- Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.
- Full class 5 driver’s licence and driver's abstract.
