JLL is hiring an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Contract Specialist for a new global client account to oversee client locations in Canada.. The Specialist will assist in the set up of the client contact and vendor operations and implementation of the Contract Risk Management Program. The EHS Contract Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with EHS requirements, supporting site management, and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. **What this job involves**: Implement the Contract Risk Management program for designated area of responsibility Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure understanding and compliance with EHS obligations Approve permits for high-risk operations Monitor performance and review work upon completion; implement "Stop Work" responsibility when necessary Serve as a point of contact for contractors and vendors, resolving contract-related EHS issues Conduct periodic audits to ensure EHS contract compliance and identify areas for improvement Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry best practices Investigate and report on incidents involving contractors and vendors; recommend corrective actions Work closely with internal departments to align contract strategies with organizational goals Provide EHS training to site employees Foster relationships with external stakeholders to stay informed of EHS contracting developments Maintain accurate records and generate reports on contract performance and compliance Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or Business Administration, or other relevant certification.
