**Position Summary**:
The Packaging Line Operator is instrumental in all processes related to operating and maintaining equipment used in the packaging of chemical carwash products. Safety and efficiency are paramount in this position to ensure all safety protocols and quality standards are met. The primary focus will be to package chemical products according to specifications, while monitoring equipment performance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the packaging process. Teamwork is the cornerstone to success in meeting production targets, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Chemical Packaging**
- Operate packaging machinery efficiently and safely to package chemical products according to company standards and production schedules.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify issues to ensure smooth operation of the following:

- Conveyor systems
- Filling machines
- Labeling machines
- Packaging materials
- Perform quality checks on packaged products to ensure specifications meet compliance with regulatory requirements.
- This includes, ensuring that:

- Caps are tightened to prevent leakage
- Labels are on straight, and in good condition
- Procedures related to paperwork and quality checks are completed
- Prepare products to be shipped by skidding and using shrink wrap machine
- Maintain accurate production records, including batch numbers, quantities packaged, and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot problems, optimize production processes, and recommend continuous improvement ideas.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to packaging operations, including hazardous materials handling and waste disposal.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance your knowledge of packaging equipment, safety protocols, and chemical handling practices.

**Other**
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on packaging equipment, including:

- Cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts
- To be carried out with the assistance of Maintenance team
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of packaging materials and coordinate with the procurement team to order supplies
- Material Handling of product using a forklift to move skids from packaging line to wrapping machine and then to stagging area

**Safety Excellence**
- Follow safety guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Work in a safe manner and strive for zero work related incidents.
- Understand and follow procedures related to safe handling of chemicals.
- Only operate equipment that you have been trained on

**Education & Experience Required**:

- A minimum of 1 year experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience driving a forklift
- High school diploma or equivalent

**Technical Skills & Competencies**:

- Compentency in English to:

- Read, complete, and understand training materials and programs, including Standard Operating Procedures.
- Understand and perform safety regulations and best practices for handling hazardous materials, including the use of proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet production targets with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy to perform quality checks and maintaining production records.
- Good communication skills coupled with the ability to work collaboratively and positively with team members.
- A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed to support production schedules.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to:

- Stand for extended periods
- Lift heavy objects
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Work in various temperatures
- Ability to make sound decisions regarding day-to-day responsibility and work in a self-directed manner

**Physical Demands and Working Conditions**:
The position works wtihin the manufacturing and warehouse facility. The environment at times may be noisy and hot during summer months. There is regular exposure to scents. Physical demands of the position require standing, moving product, using push/pulling force and frequent lifting of product of 50 pounds. Concentration is needed in operating packaging machinery, Tow Motor and other equipment.
