Burlington, Canada Raise Full time

Toshont Power Products, established in 1993, is a Canadian distributor of Industrial Electrical Products. This includes low and medium voltage motors and VFDs, UPS, Power Apparatus and Components and service.

They are looking to hire an Electrician with valid 442A and 309A licenses to work for them on a full time permanent basis.

In this role you will be based out of their Burlington office with travel occasionally around Ontario.

**Your day to day responsibilities**:

- Work in their panel shop to help assemble panels.
- Complete testing with required documentation on every panel before it leaves.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
- Attend customer sites for planned maintenance and service appointments.
- Attend customer sites for emergency calls.
- Stay abreast of current products and procedures.
- Work safely.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
- Overtime, travel, overnight travel periodically required.

**Required Experience and Skills: **
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Electrician.
- A valid 442A license.
- A valid 309A license.
- Knowledge/Experience with electric motors and controls.
- Experience with low voltage and medium voltages.
- Strong knowledge of VFDs and experience with VFD diagnostics, repairs, commissioning.
- CSA UL experience
- Underground experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy, and experience with the MS Office Suite of products.
- A strong sense of Customer Service
- Able to work as part of a small but strong team.
- Excellent problem solving skills using your initiative.
