Barber Collins Security is looking for a Part Time Security guard to work in a 2 building apartment complex in Kitchener

Every Friday and Saturday night 9pm to 5am

**Responsibilities**:

- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV cameras and other security equipment
- Enforce rules, regulations, and company policies to prevent unauthorized access or activities
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related incidents

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques, procedures, and equipment
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and protocols
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk up and down stairs for long periods of time

**Skills**:

- Surveillance: Ability to monitor and observe activities using CCTV cameras or other surveillance equipment.
- CCTV: Proficiency in operating closed-circuit television systems for monitoring purposes.
- Law enforcement: Understanding of basic law enforcement procedures and protocols.
- Loss prevention: Knowledge of techniques and strategies to prevent theft, vandalism, or other losses.
