**Responsibilities include**:

- Researching and recommending textbooks and supplementary materials as needed
- Monitoring student performance (results-based environment)
- Reviewing class material with students by discussing text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments
- Providing feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students
- Assessing students' progress throughout tutoring sessions
- Administering or proctoring assessments (as needed)
- Teaching students study skills, note-taking skills, and test-taking strategies

**Skills/ Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, or a related field, **from a university in North America**; For standardized testing, it is preferred if you have written standardized tests or are familiar with them.
- Must be familiar with or able to tutor AP Computer Science and AP Computer Science Programming
- Must be enthusiastic, personable, and have a positive attitude
- Must have an ability to read people and communicate effectively
- Previous tutoring/mentoring experience is required

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Master’s Degree (plus)

**Experience**:

- Tutoring or standardized testing prep: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)
