**Responsibilities**
- Promotes positive employee relations and fosters a communicative environment
- Full cycle recruitment including updating position descriptions, preparing postings and advertisements, screening resumes (manages ATS), participating on interview panels and assisting with reference checks
- Prepare employment offers and complete onboarding process for new hires
- Act as a point of contact for managers and employees for routine inquiries related to employment, policies, procedures, etc.
- Assist with drafting, implementation and administration of employee policies and procedures
- Updating policy manuals, forms, and other HR documentation
- Assist in implementing and executing HR strategies, initiatives and programs that effective support the core values of the Company
- Support current HR best practices and bring forward recommendations for continuous improvement on process, documentation, and people practices
- Assist in managing recognition programs
- Assist in regular HR reporting and metrics, including running various reports
- Maintain employee related information and records via HRIS and personnel files.
- Assist with developing training plans for employees
- Assist with conducting exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations
- Educates employees and managers on company practices and tools
- Other duties and projects as assigned

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources
- Holding or working towards CPHR designation is considered an asset
- 1-2 years of experience in a relevant role

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Excellent attitude and contribute to a positive environment
- Knowledge of HR standards and best practices as well as relevant employment standards and human rights legislation
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
- Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated
- Ability to build relationships at various level of the organization
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Google Docs, Applicant Tracking Systems
