We seek excellent students, faculty, and staff to join us in what has become known as the "Western Experience" - an opportunity to contribute to a better world through the development of new knowledge, new abilities, new connections, and new ways to make a difference. **About Us**: **Responsibilities**: **Description**:The Abundant Intelligences **Community Research Facilitator** will assist with creating and maintaining relations between the POD, students, regional community members, and our partners at the Museum of Ontario Archeology (in accordance with regional cultural protocols). They will work with the POD research team at Western University and with the POD Community Liaison at Six Nations. They will serve as the PODS's primary point of contact with the MOA, helping to facilitate research, teaching, and community activities related/connected to the MOA and the Lawson Archeological Site. They will be expected to help organize community events, host meetings with community members and researchers, work with students and faculty, facilitate research with/at the MOA and generally help create and maintain a collaborative relationship between the POD and the MOA. They might be expected to attend conferences and other (relevant) cultural events, talks, presentations (and other). They may also be active in developing creative/artistic projects (on-going), and to contribute to research (generally). They will report to the POD Director; A formal (1-2 page summary) report is due by **April 1** of every year (starting 2025) Monthly reports are due at the end of the month, in point-form/list of activities. **Responsibilities**: - Making Connections: - Facilitate connections between the POD and the Museum of Archeology - Establish a means of facilitating research at the MOA, with our partners, community collaborators and students/faculty. - Assist with some classroom activities, primarily those connected to research/teaching at the MOA and in Visual Arts (the Landmarks course). - Help raise awareness of the project generally to regional communities in London and surrounding areas - Along with other AI members, identifying and developing conceptual and material research questions and project proposals which might interest potential collaborators. - Coordinating Community Attendance: - Assist in coordinating attendance at any events related to the MOA, the Landmarks course, and the Lawson Site. - Help organize events and other planning. - Communication: - Act as primary point of contact for POD members (researchers, students and collaborators) and the MOA, and establish/facilitate research and teaching activities. - Making note of any necessary requirements (i.e. accessibility for attending Elders, or similar requests) that are needed at any gatherings/meetings. - Assisting in documentation of ongoing progress in planning events and other involvement with MOA. - Research: - Being involved in on-going research and developing research questions if they arise at weekly meetings and engaging in on-going discussions as appropriate. - Participating in all events and activities related to community engagement at the MOA. - Developing and supporting on-going research creation, specifically with the MOA and the POD. - Taking notes regarding community engagement and events. **Eligibility**:The Community Liaison will be appointed by the POD director.
