Duties & Responsibilities

What we’re looking for…

Under the direction of the Director, Consumer, Sensory & Market Insights, the Research Technician will support data collection, analysis and reporting for market intelligence and economics research activities.

What you’ll do…

- Compile data from primary and secondary sources for market research scans.
- Support literature review development and assist in the preparation of written reports, presentations and communications of research findings to stakeholders.
- Support univariate and multivariate statistical analysis of research results.
- Share responsibility for the development, upkeep and maintenance of shared files and procedures including SOPs, templates and databases.
- Participate in meetings and prepare the minutes.

Contract Term:

Duration: 12 months

Qualifications

What we need from you…

- BSc or undergraduate degree in market research, marketing and consumer studies, or economics
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in consumer and/or market research
- Master’s degree considered an asset

Knowledge and Skills

- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting agricultural, investment, market, industry, and economic data using software such as Excel, R.
- Familiarity with economic modeling tools and statistical forecasting methods.
- Proficiency in conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis.
- Knowledge of economics, as it applies to agriculture and sustainability.
- Knowledge of value chains, pricing, and supply-demand dynamics in the agriculture and agri-food sector (desirable).
- Familiarity with environmental scanning and SWOT analysis (desirable).
