are seeking a Junior Repair Technician for immediate full-time employment in our
Oshawa-based National Repair Centre.
This position reports directly to Master Repair Technician who will serve as a mentor during the
apprentice phase. Career progress toward intermediate and senior repair technician status will
be encouraged.
A Junior Repair Technician will have the following responsibilities:
- Work under direct supervision, with the ability to work independently once trained
- Receiving and decontamination of incoming surgical instruments
- Preparing instruments for the repair process, taping for color coding etc.
- Acid etching and other instrument marking
- Removal of insulation and or previous color coding
- Packaging and shipment of repaired instruments back to customers
- Refinishing of instruments, matte, satin, polished
- Bead Blasting
- General instrument minor repair
- Other various tasks as requested by the Master Repair Technician or General Manager
- High school diploma
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Experience working with machinery; ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
