**Duties**:
The incumbent will support proactive planning and informed decision-making across the organization through coaching/mentorship of other professionals and by creating and leveraging strategic partnerships within the organization, with Indigenous partners, federal officials, and other regulators.

**Education**:
University graduation with specialization in a related field (e.g.: social sciences, physical sciences, economics, Indigenous studies, public policy) or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
E1 Significant* experience generating comprehensive strategic and/or policy advice, briefings and recommendations for senior management.

E2 Significant* experience presenting to senior management on complex** issues and managing collaboration with internal and external parties towards a successful outcome.

E3 Significant* experience planning for and managing complex** projects that affect Indigenous Peoples and/or the public. This includes, at a minimum:

- establishing governance roles and accountabilities
- identifying resource needs, and
- internal and external engagement/consultation

E4 Significant* experience coaching and guiding colleagues in one or more of the following:

- developing public policy related to Indigenous Peoples rights and interests and/or Reconciliation matters
- planning and conducting consultation and engagement with Indigenous Peoples
- dispute resolution/conflict management

**Complex is defined as having one or more of the following characteristics: there is high legal or reputational risk, a novel project that affects two or more partners or stakeholders, an issue having an impact on the delivery of programs and policies.
