Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and ability to work well with a strong, interdisciplinary team. Display a positive approach to students with social-emotional-behavioral needs. Experience implementing positive, proactive behavioural interventions including competence using specific strategies such as visual supports, sensory supports, reinforcement schedules, teaching problem-solving skills, social stories, etc. and has experience with Positive Behavioral Supports.
Support the use of Google Apps for Education as well assistive technology devices for communication. Experience modeling and teaching students social skills, and emotional regulation. Willingness to lift and toilet students as required. First Aid and CPR training would be an asset.
