**Job description**:
Reporting directly to the Construction Department, the Site Superintendent is responsible for a broad range of duties.
- Providing full time on-site supervision
- Scheduling and coordinating contractors and trades as per the project schedule
- Conducting pre-construction inspections with the Project Manager to verify the project scope, budget, and schedule
- Supervising and coordinating the tasks and activities of employees and site staffs
- Monitoring and enforcing site safety including WSIB compliance
- Monitoring the schedule and reporting progress to the Project Manager
- Attending site meetings as required
- Conducting pre-delivery inspections
- Ensuring construction work is being carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, zoning/building bylaws, OBC and company policy and returning completion slips to office administration
- Coordinating each trade to ensure smooth and continuous on-site progress and ensure workmanship is satisfactory and the proper materials are used
- Arranging for miscellaneous labour as required to complete project and sign off on time cards as needed
- Ordering materials as necessary to complete project and return packing slips to office administration
- Managing usage of company tools and assets and ensure safekeeping of same
- Providing leadership, instruction, and supervision to all construction workers, including site staff, contractors and suppliers as well as visitors to site
- Corresponding with consultants and Project Manager regarding all contract discrepancies or adjustments as required, ensuring any specialty materials are ordered in advance in order to meet deadlines
- Maintaining accessibility and ongoing communication on a full-time basis with developers, engineers, consultants, suppliers, client representatives, municipal and regional authorities, Ministry of Labour and any other regulatory bodies ensuring compliance to municipal, regional, provincial standards, and concerning any changes, adjustments or contract discrepancies
- Collaborating with subcontractors and client representatives on site measurements and communicate the agreed upon material quantities are reported to ensure timely Completion Slip certification/preparation and invoice processing upon work completion
- Providing all reporting requirements to head office e.g., progress reports, contract drawing discrepancies, labour timesheets, meeting minutes etc.

**Experience**:
Minimum 5 - 10 years of construction experience as a low-rise subdivision construction site superintendent. Subdivision Servicing experience is required.

**Skills**:

- Solid understanding of current construction practices; strong working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications and project management
- Proven ability to guide safe work practices in a high-pressure environment while maintaining project quality, schedule and budget
- Capable of anticipating constructability issues in complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule
- Ability to use Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiar with scheduling software
- Ability to use PROCORE
- Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license

**Salary**: From $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
