**Job Summary**
We cater a hot lunch program for the Lycée International de Calgary. All cooking and prep is done out of our Kaladi Kitchens SE location. The role will help package meals in the morning and then help serve meals at the school. Position is expected to drive company car back and forth to the school. Must have valid driver's license and must pass police background check with vulnerable sector check. Dishwashing all trays, cutlery, prep and service items once returned from the school (approximately 1-1.5 hours). There may be some opportunity for additional prep cooking. And as the company grows, this role could develop into more of that.

Position is M-F from 8:30-3:00pm. This includes 1 half hour lunch break (unpaid) for a total of 6 hours a day, 30 hours a week. All school holidays and breaks will be off, unless previously arranged.

Must be able to reliably commute to Kaladi Kitchens SE (7920 42 Street SE). We will most likely be moving to our own location in Mission in a few months. Must be able to commute to this location as well.

**Responsibilities**

**-**Serve meals to school aged children. MUST PASS AND PROVIDE POLICE BACKGROUND CHECK WITH VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK. This will be reimbursed by the business.
- MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER'S LICENCE AND BE ABLE TO DRIVE A COMPANY CAR TO THE SCHOOL EVERYDAY.
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables
- Ensure all dishes are washed, sanitized, and stored appropriately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas
- Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to food safety regulations
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries
- Support kitchen staff as needed during peak times
- Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds multiple times a day, everyday. We transport meals in large cambro insulated boxes.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is required
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Understanding of food safety guidelines and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
