The Scheduler, CZT Crystal Operations, is responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking all materials pertaining to the crystal growth department. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that weekly targets are met, including tracking actual output and yields.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Convert boule loading plan into daily boule loading schedule, including metal and seed kitting
- Schedule CZT growth furnace loading
- Schedule and track external metrology, including DCRC measurements collected at UVic
- Develop, communicate, track weekly output targets
- Track actuals vs target for CZT boule growth, boule slicing, wafer inspection, wafer annealing, and singulation
- Track IR substrate products from raw material to diced substrate
- Schedule equipment and communicate with facilities/engineering staff when equipment is down due to scheduled or unscheduled events
- Creating, updating, and following up on tasks using Jira project management software
- Identify key constraints and work with the team to mitigate impact
- Develop plans to mitigate deltas to the plan and categorize causes for the misses to plan
- Review results with the supervisors/managers/directors on a regular basis
- Manage quarterly WIP count and end-of-year inventory count for CZT crystal operations team

**Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years in a comparable work environment
- Scheduling and/or planning experience in an asset

- Excellent written and oral communication
- Excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Hands-on and innovative individual with a desire to work with and learn from production staff
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word/Excel and databases/spreadsheets to track production data and inventories
- Desire to learn new things, improve process efficiency, and close communication loops
- Critical thinking, attention-to-detail, accuracy, enjoy working with numbers
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Demonstrated positive attitude and self-motivation
- Experience with databases, queries, inventory management, flow charts, and/or 5S is an asset

**Education**:

- High school graduation essential; college diploma is a big plus.
