If so, you've found the job you're looking for TerraCorp. Management is looking for a Capital Projects Technician to be based on out of our headquarters in London, ON. This role is sure to be one that will keep every day different, offer a change of location each day, and will provide the opportunity to further develop your skills On a daily basis, this person will work on tasks such as: - Interior wall construction (Framing) - Drywall/Mud on New installations and repair - Painting/ Plastering - complete plastering and painting repairs - New and existing plumbing installations and repair - Carpentry - repair/adjust/replace doors and apartment cabinets; install replacement baseboard and/or shoe mold, cupboards, vanities, and countertops. - Plumbing - repair/replace toilets, tubs, install tub and shower assembly; fix leaking pipes; Install new plumbing and or drain lines. - Electrical - Changing light fixtures and repair/replace defective or malfunctioning outlets; repair/replace light fixtures, run conduit and rough in electrical on new construction projects - Flooring installation - Tiling - repairs and replacement as required - Brick repair or replacement - Concrete repair/parging and replacement - Exterior siding repair or replacement - Exterior Fencing repair or replacement - Exterior wood structure construction The ideal Capital Projects Tech will have the following skills and experience: - A minimum of 3 years’ experience in general construction/capital projects - Experience installing and repairing drywall - General knowledge of electric and plumbing - General knowledge of carpentry and building code - General knowledge of exterior structure construction - General knowledge of building envelope, windows, roofs and balconies/concrete repair - Kitchen Cabinet installation experience - Great attention to detail - Customer service oriented - Ability to perform flooring repair/replacement of laminate floors and installation of trim and baseboard - Effective communication skills - Basic budgeting and cost control We would like to thank all applicants for your interest in working as part of our team Only those applicants selected to move forward in the recruitment process will be contacted.
