Position Summary: - Provide end user with hardware and software support, Onsite & offsite support with effective solutions in a timely manner. - Provide answers to clients by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding client through corrective steps. - Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services. - Gather customer’s information and determine the issue by evaluating and analyzing the symptoms. - Diagnose and resolve technical Hardware / Software issues. - Research required information using available resources. - Follow standard processes and procedures. - Provide technical Hardware and software support to end user on-site, Off-site or via phone. - Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, build, and upgrade all PC hardware equipment. - Install, diagnose, repair and maintain laser printers, scanners and other equipment (known as peripherals). - Configure computer networks, TCP/IP, Router, Internet, firewalls and Network Cabling. - Image and deploy of proprietary software. - Identify and repair issues for hardware, software, windows OS, Spy ware, Virus, etc... - Troubleshoot problem areas in a fast and professional manner. - Participates in implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations. - Lifting of computer equipment, supplies and materials. - Maintain and manage inventory list. - Maintain a safe and organized work area by observing all safety policies and procedures. - Perform travel on a moment notice in order to provide support by troubleshooting at customer sites across the province or across Canada. - Available for "On call" to provide service during the evenings and weekends, when required or when on a rotating shift. - Identify and escalate problems to appropriate resource. - Accurately process and log all worked preformed using in house tracking software. - Follow up and make scheduled call backs to customers where necessary and must meet deadlines. - React quickly and work under stressful situations. - Ability to multi-task and to work independently or in a team environment. - Stay current with technology, changes and updates. - Provide training to clients on-site, off-site or online as required. - Communicate problems with supervisors as they become known. - Provide customer with outstanding customer care and service at all times by maintaining a positive, professional attitude and behavior. - Additional or different functions may be assigned from time to time. - Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Required Skills & Responsibilities: - College diploma or university degree in computers or minimum of 2 years equivalent working experience as a computer hardware field technician. - Willingness and ability to continue to upgrade professional skills and competence. - Must be customer support oriented, Excellent telephone manner, Good communication skills is a must. - Able to troubleshoot technical problems to determine the root cause in a fast-paced environment. - Work under pressure, Strong customer focus. - Good computer knowledge, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. - Proficient at Printer Repairs - Must be able to work independently and or in a team environment. - Must be fluent in English (verbal, written, comprehension). - Must have a valid Ontario driver license and a reliable vehicle. - This is contract position, 12-18 months with the possibility of a further extension or full-time employment.
