**Switchboard Operator**
**Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager of Administrative Services and Housing, the Switchboard Operator manages the switchboard system to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls; greets and orients visitors/guests; screens and controls entry access to the Motherhouse; manages deliveries to the main entrance; arranges hospitality services for sisters/guests such as booking cars; serves as part of the emergency response plan; operates paging system/dispatching for other departments; answers general inquiries related to the Motherhouse; and performs clerical/housekeeping functions required by the position.
**Qualifications**:
- Experienced in the area of customer services, have excellent interpersonal and good communications skills
- Experience in operating switchboard, telephone call systems, entry door systems
- Must be in good physical condition and able to meet the physical demands (prolonged sitting, light lifting) of position.
- Must be able to work independently, multi-task, and as a team player
- Bilingual (French and English) considered an asset
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma _**(required)**_
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check - less than 1 year old _**(required)**_
- 2 step TB test - (or updated status) _**(required)**_
- Fully vaccinated as per Motherhouse Influenza and COVID protocols _**(required)**_
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a relevant customer service field
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $17.48 per hour
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- North Bay, ON P1B 2X6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Reception/customer service: 3 years (preferred)
