**Job Title**:Accounting Manager - Property Management

**Job Location**:Vaughan, Ontario

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Controller in creating, reviewing, and updating the Accounting Process Manual, including all relevant policies and procedures.
- Manage and oversee a team of Property Accountants to ensure timely and high-quality execution of the following tasks:

- Preparation and reporting of monthly HST.
- Reconciliation of bank statements, mortgages, loans, and monthly journal entries.
- Annual preparation and processing of Tenant CAM/TAX recovery reconciliations.
- Investigation and validation of recovery rules in tenant leases.
- Verification, coding, and processing of accounts payable after authorization by the property manager; review payments for accuracy before submitting for management approval.
- Preparation and submission of annual MPAC financial reports and vacancy rebates.
- Quarterly submission of financial statements required by Statistics Canada.
- Preparation of year-end audit working papers and liaison with auditors.
- Generation of various accounting reports and analyses as needed.
- Preparation of both audited and unaudited financial statements for internal and external use.
- Development and review of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Review the quality and timeliness of all deliverables produced by the Accounting team, providing coaching to ensure consistent performance and adherence to time and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with the Controller in the annual staff review process, including setting annual goals and objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with the Controller regarding the progress of staff activities as per the scheduled accounting tasks.
- Serve as the administrator for the Property Management Software within the Accounting Department.
- Assist the Controller in compiling monthly and annual reports for senior management.
- Aid the Controller in preparing the annual budget presentation for senior management approval.
- Support the Controller in establishing annual strategies and business plans for the department.
- Provide financial accounting support to Property Management personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

**Requirements**:

- CPA designated, with over 5 years of relevant management and supervisory experience in the industry.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Skilled in using Yardi Voyager 7S for financial reporting.
