'**Construction Lawyer with experience in Claims, Adjudication and Dispute Resolution.**

Graham Bros. Construction Limited (GBCL) is seeking to fulfill a new full-time position for Counsel to prevent, mitigate, manage and settle claims and disputes for GBCL and its affiliates.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Provide legal counsel and support to GBCL on a wide range of matters including insurance, claims, adjudication and dispute resolution.
- Manage and oversee the resolution of construction related disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration or litigation when necessary.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents pertaining to construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers and executives, to mitigate legal risks and ensure contractual compliance.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on industry regulations, case law and best practices.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of strategies and procedures to minimize legal exposure and optimize project outcomes.
- Represent GBCL in meetings, hearings, negotiations.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years working with or on behalf of civil construction and/or engineering firms in Ontario
- LL.B or J.D.
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Strong knowledge of construction law, contract law, insurance and dispute resolution within the construction sector.
- Proven track record in handling complex construction related disputes and claims.
- Experience with insurance and bonding contracting.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Willingness to engage in construction industry associations.
- Adjudication, arbitration or other additional construction related training will be considered a benefit.
