**Job Title**: : Chef/Cook

**Pay rate**:Depending on skills/experience, 30-35 hours per week, 7am until 1-2pm, 5 days per week.

**Location**: 44160 Yale Road West, Chilliwack

**Job purpose**:Preparing meals for the Chilliwack lunch program and events, serving guests, and cleaning as required.

- Delicious meals
- Kitchen equipment and spaces are clean and sanitary
- All guests are satisfied with meals and events hosted by Southern Irrigation

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Create menu
- Cook and prepare meals
- Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen area including washing and putting away dishes
- Regular kitchen deep cleaning
- Prepare for events (day or evening depending on bookings)

**Competencies and Skills**
- Skilled in menu creation and food preparation
- Certification by (or in training) by the Canadian Culinary Institute of the Canadian Federation of Chefs and Cooks (CFCC) is preferred but not necessary
- Able to take direction from the Event Coordinator
- A desire to treat coworkers with integrity, honesty and credibility
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to take initiative to identify tasks and do them with mínimal supervision
