**About us**

**Job Summary**:
The electrical panel builder position reports to the Hepburn Engineering Inc. Shop Supervisor. Once work is completed, it is reviewed and checked for adherence to electrical schematics and drawings.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Wiring Electrical Panels for Safety Critical Electrical Control systems, PLC’s, Hydraulic Power Units and Operator control stations.
- Occasional travel to equipment fabrication vendors for final wiring.
- Works in a collaborative environment in close association with HEI Engineering staff at the Toronto office to wire panels for integrated custom engineered equipment.
- Troubleshooting Panels and Circuits.
- Safe use of various hand tools, as well as electric / battery and pneumatic powered tools.
- Supports start-up and commissioning of equipment.
- Provide constructive feedback to designers on Electrical Schematic drawings and documentation.
- Supports all customer needs with a matter of urgency for speedy resolution.
- Conducts all activities in compliance to the ISO Systems & Procedures.
- Maintains all systems in compliance to company Intellectual Property rules and guidelines.
- Undertakes other duties and responsibilities within HEI, as required by the workshop Supervisor and/or the Principal Electrical Engineer.
- Initiates plans and ideas for cost reduction and/or quality improvement measures.
- Follows and applies Safety guidelines and rules as per Company policies. Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
- Motivated team player with a positive mindset.
- Perform occasional overtime work.
- Valid Ontario Drivers Licence and access to a car for business travel.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Licenced Electrician, Master Electrician, Electrical Technician or Technologist Diploma.
- Understanding of Electrical Panel Building for Control Technology.
- Read and interpret Electrical Schematics and other Technical Drawings.
- Wiring competence in complex Electrical PLC and Control Panel Stations.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Sound critical thinking.
- Ability to prioritize work and good time management.
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills both verbal and written in English.
- Forklift certification is advantageous.
