The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry is the largest Faculty on campus and employs over 2,000 part-time and full-time faculty and over 1,200 staff. **Responsibilities**: Internationalization is a key priority for the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, and impacts the Faculty’s core academic, research, clinical and service missions. The International Learning and Partnerships Manager will facilitate and ensure that support is provided for Schulich learners participating in international learning experiences, as well as support key international Faculty partnerships. The Manager will participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans, programs, policies, and procedures related to international learning, and liaise with Western International to ensure alignment. The role will serve as an expert on Schulich specific program requirements and learner needs related to international experiences and travel and will be the primary operational lead responsible for implementing and facilitating International Learning and partnerships at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. The Manager will also support the alignment of resources to best support the achievement of international objectives and will facilitate budget development and monitoring processes. **Qualifications**: - Education: - Undergraduate Degree with a Major in International Development, Education, Social Sciences, or relevant discipline - Master’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred - Experience: - 5 years' experience providing administrative coordination and learner support in a higher education institution - Experience managing staff and projects - Previous international work, study, volunteer, or related experience - Experience with developing, implementing, and interpreting policies and procedures preferred - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Familiarity with best practices for assessing, developing, and implementing new business processes and procedures - Familiarity with financial budgeting and Human Resources principles and practices - Interpersonal skills to liaise with prospective and current learners, staff, faculty, partners, and other members of the Western community - Ability to listen, inform, explain, and advise learners on academic processes and regulations - Ability to effectively present information, and conduct training sessions and workshops - Ability to work in a manner that models best practices in confidentiality standards - Capacity to support and demonstrate openness to persons of diverse backgrounds and beliefs - Ability to understand learner and faculty needs and expectations and provide excellent customer service to directly and indirectly satisfy expectations - Attention to detail with an ability to retrieve, analyze and synthesize sizable amounts of data, while ensuring that information is accurate and comprehensive - Commitment to ongoing professional development with a desire to take on new challenges - Ability to handle complex situations with diplomacy, solid negotiation, and conflict resolution skills - Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the University’s events and activities - Ability to ensure expenditures and resources are within allotments, and to make appropriate modifications when required - Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to lead and develop rigorous recruitment processes, ensure on-going training and development, and performance management - Ability to plan and manage events of various sizes; familiarity with large scale events an asset **Western Values Diversity**: **Please Note**: We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those chosen for an interview will be contacted.
